Job description

Valtech is hiring for a Senior Sales Manager DACH (all genders) to join us to support our ambition of becoming the leading digital agency globally.

To be successful in the role, you will know the digital agency world because you have lived it for years. You will be able to articulate the value of digital transformation to a B2B or B2C client in 50 words or less and, most importantly, as a digital native you can translate the trends and lingo of the digital world into something a C-level executive will understand, value and buy.

Your job is to know the market, hunt the business challenges that can be solved digitally, creating and pursuing opportunities with new client prospects. You know the value of getting really stuck-in to digital consulting rather than going on autopilot with generic slide decks, and you’re comfortable with positioning a full-service offering that spans strategy, creative and technology.

Critically you’ll know that digital is so much more than the website or online shop. You’ll be passionate about the impact your work has on human beings and how they experience the online world. You will be accountable to drive a lean and effective end-to-end sales process across the funnel, working with the Top500 Companies and brands, the leaders in their industries.

You will be well networked into the wider global company, using the power of the One Valtech organisation to drive the Swiss-based business.

A day in the life of a Senior Sales Manager (all genders)

As a Senior Sales Manager (all genders), you will mainly be responsible for developing, driving and winning new business opportunities for new clients. On a day-to-day basis, you will be the one representing Valtech as a go-to contact in the market, as well as acting as an internal touchpoint and a role model.

In Addition, You Will Be

  1. Developing and executing the go-to-market plan for new business offerings with net new customers in the DACH region
  2. Growing our business via net new clients in the Manufacturing sector
  3. Proactively approaching our target groups, through new leads and your extensive network in the Swiss region, taking lead, and skillfully and creatively driving the dialogue from initial contact through to successful deal closure
  4. Driving the sales pipeline development in close partnership with the Valtech’s Global and Regional Business Development team, through business development and leads generation activities, where you can count on an amazing demand generation team, proactively engaging with prospective customers, identification of new business opportunities and development of the company’s image
  5. Engaging with prospect organisations to position Valtech solutions through strategic value-based selling, business case definition, references from clients and partners, networking, etc
  6. Leading end-to-end presales / RFP response / pitch process through qualification, win strategy definition, engagement of appropriate resources such as solution engineers, professional services leads, partner executives pre-sales, local and global delivery leads
  7. Participating in relevant marketing, networking and industry events
  8. Systematically collaborating with Valtech’s key technology platform partners in the region, e.g. Sitecore, Salesforce, Optimizely, Contentful, Adobe, Commercetools, Fluent Commerce and others
  9. Accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting and revenue delivery
  10. Keeping up with client success case studies and services value proposition development within Valtech
  11. Continually manage information about new contacts or clients, prospects, business proposals and business pipelines using Salesforce CRM

We Would Love If You

  1. Are based in the German speaking part of Switzerland you will have demonstrable experience in business development/sales roles within the digital agency/tech professional services industry
  2. Possess an excellent existing network of potential clients in the Swiss locale
  3. Have in depth knowledge of the relevant vertical markets – Industrials
  4. Have demonstrable track record of selling multi-year engagements
  5. Have personal drive to “getting it done and right” and the ability to make effective decisions and see them through
  6. Have flexibility and ability to adjust on-the-fly to new demands and business environments with a sense of urgency
  7. Are comfortable and confident holding accountability for a multi-million revenue and ensuring our business reaches these targets.
  8. Have excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills, working effectively with internal and client teams and valuing our culture of ‘Share, Dare and Care’
  9. Have assertiveness, directness and a “company first” mentality
  10. Have strong senior executive engagement and influencing skills
  11. Are a proficient English and German communicator; Swiss German is highly desirable.
  12. Critically you will be a team player, mentor and ally. Being part of a diverse and heterogene team full of passion, ambition and heart
