A leading contract metal manufacturer in Ontario is seeking a Quality Weld Inspector to conduct inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards. Candidates should have at least one year of weld inspection experience and proficiency in reading weld symbols. Founded in 1968, our areas of expertise include metal stamping, laser cutting, fabrication, manual and robotic welding, tool and die work, powder coating and assembly. Our modern facilities include 190,000 square feet of manufacturing space between three facilities located in Fairfield, OH. We specialize in numerous industries including construction, transportation, energy, and defense. We have an opening for a Quality Weld Inspector.
This role entails conducting weld inspections to ensure adherence to acceptance criteria as per customer and company specifications. In addition, this position will ensure weldments and welding-related activities comply with all applicable quality and safety standards supporting G&W’s business processes to meet company strategic goals.
These duties are to include inspecting parts and assemblies using appropriate measuring and test equipment to verify compliance with drawings and instructions. Inspections include first piece and full container inspections IAW the applicable weld code and defined criteria. This includes documenting results in G&W’s ERP system, and communicating inspection results in a complete, clear and concise manner.
