KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Cultivate and empower a dedicated team of 150+ warehouse employees, ensuring unparalleled customer service and shipping
  • Uphold exceptional levels of accuracy, safety and performance in the daily functions of a well‑structured, high‑performing warehouse environment
  • Execute on all best practices to achieve positive results for company Key Performance Indicators
  • Manage inbound/outbound logistics, material movement, cycle counts
  • Champions a culture of Zero is Possible driving safety initiatives to meet company safety targets
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to support long‑term strategic initiatives/projects
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement by reducing process waste, non‑value‑added activities
  • Plans, implements, and communicates change initiatives to meet annual budget requirements
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of the Warehouse activities, improving warehouse practices to drive an efficient and cost‑effective order fulfillment process
  • Maintain 5S standards and ensure employees are performing tasks safely and in accordance with company policies and applicable legislation
  • Provide direction to the warehouse team (shipping, receiving, material handlers)
  • Ensure the timely, efficient, and cost‑effective shipping of product to customers
  • Plan and maintain staffing levels and shift schedules to achieve company objectives/budgets
  • Provide effective training for staff to support a high‑performance work culture
  • Maintain accurate shipping documentation, manifests, receipts; generate reports, as required
  • Conduct regular cycle counts & implement permanent corrective actions for any discrepancies
  • Ensure the warehouse is compliant with all Goods Manufacturing Practices and Goods Warehousing Practices
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors Degree, Post Secondary education in Materials Management/Supply Chain, etc.
  • 5 years warehouse management experience, 3 years leading a team
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with leaders & fostering positive working relationships
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, warehouse and order fulfillment processes
  • Lean Six Sigma would be an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products, SAP knowledge, ERP systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and management skills
  • Ability to resolve operational and people problems in a courteous manner
  • Strong team player with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Comprehensive understanding of Ontario occupational health & safety, labour, and employment standards to ensure regulatory compliance
