Job overview

We are currently seeking a Vice-President, Sales, Wholesaler to join our Sales team in Ontario. In this role, the successful candidate is expected to develop and implement a business plan and sales strategy to increase Assante's market share within the territory; develop a territory coverage strategy and communication plan with existing and prospective advisors; and educate and develop advisor knowledge of Assante's solutions.

What you will do
  • Increase sales and grow Assante's market share
  • Build consultative relationships with Advisors and staff
  • Work closely with Sales Associates to implement territory plan, prospect and maintain existing relationships (includes providing guidance and coaching)
  • Fully adopt and effectively use of CRM platform to maximize sales results in the territory
  • Represent Assante at regional and national conferences
  • Consistently improve and develop product knowledge, sales skills and efficiencies
  • Effectively leverage senior management in the sales process
  • Work closely with the National Accounts and Internal Sales Associates to identify and execute on specific firm and advisor initiatives
  • Use deliberate, thoughtful scheduling and calendar management in order to maximize client time and to ensure activity corresponds to territory priorities
What you will bring
  • 3+ years of sales experience related to the role as an internal, hybrid, or external wholesaler
  • Established relationships within the industry is preferred
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated proficiency in general business disciplines
  • University degree
  • Canadian Security Course
  • CFP, CIM or CFA an asset
  • Experience using Salesforce.com an asset
  • In depth investment management and general market knowledge
  • Able to make quick and appropriate decisions, while working within the regulatory framework
  • Ability to build internal partnerships and relationships in a team environment
