Responsibilities
- Corporate Finance Leadership: Oversee all corporate financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Partner with leadership to develop financial strategies that support the firm’s growth objectives.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable standards.
- Payroll, AP & AR
- Manage treasury functions including cash management and credit lines.
- Review of accounting / reporting / tax packages for individual legal entities
- Coordinate external audit and tax return preparation for the Management Company and other related entities
- Fund Administration: Working closely with the fund administrators to provide them with the details of capital calls and distributions from/to investors and ensuring this is done on a timely basis
- Working closely with the fund administrators to provide them with the necessary information to facilitate preparation of the quarterly financial reporting package and ensuring that all reporting deadlines are met
- Assist with managing fund operations, including investment closes, investor queries, forecasting and compliance
- Review of investor PCAP and available commitment schedules on a quarterly basis
- Monitor and report on fund performance metrics and ensure alignment with investment strategies.
- Work with the Investment Team on the valuation of investments, including the drafting of any valuation memos
- Coordinate external audit and tax reporting for the Fund(s)
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
Qualifications
- Experience & Credentials: CPA/CA designation required, CFA or CBV is an added bonus
- Minimum 6+ years of progressive experience, with a mix of accounting firm exposure and hands-on finance/controllership roles.
- Direct experience within multi-entity small business operations, private equity or investment management is essential.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting, and corporate finance principles.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools; strong Excel skills are a must.
- Knowledge of Sage or Microsoft Dynamics accounting software is a bonus
