Overview

Calian is building a pool of qualified candidates for upcoming full-time opportunities as Vehicle Technicians (Veh Tech) in support of defense and security projects across Canada. These roles are ideal for individuals with mechanical training who are interested in applying their skills in structured, team-oriented environments with long-term career development.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing light and heavy military vehicles and equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system issues.
  • Perform routine servicing, part replacements, and safety checks.
  • Document repairs, maintenance, and part usage.
  • Follow safety procedures and technical manuals.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma and/or diploma or certificate in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, Automotive Service Technician, or Truck and Coach Technician.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with diagnostic tools.
  • Basic knowledge of engines, brake systems, hydraulics, and suspension.
  • Ability to work in shop or field environments.
  • Willingness to complete safety training and work in structured, team-based settings.
