Overview

Accurate Imaging Diagnostics Clinic is currently seeking an experienced and certified Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team on Fridays. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, including Abdominal (AB), Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN), Breast (BR), and Musculoskeletal (MSK), among others.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and proper preparation before each scan while maintaining patient confidentiality by complying with PHIPA.
  • Greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner, explaining forthcoming tests.
  • Ensuring all quality control checks are performed as required and that the equipment will provide qualitative diagnostic images.
  • Perform only diagnostic imaging procedures for which you are trained, qualified and certified by ensuring to perform them effectively, safely and ethically.
  • Collaborate effectively with both patients and clinical staff by demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adhere to sanitation and safety protocols by properly cleaning and maintaining ultrasound equipment after each test.
  • Demonstrate good perception, motivation, judgment, detail orientation and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
  • Active membership in Sonography Canada with the following credentials: Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer (CRGS) and/or ARDMS (AB, OB/GYN, BR, MSKS) or CARDUP.
  • Competence in performing the following types of Ultrasound examinations: AB, OB/GYN, BR, MSKS, IPS
