About the Opportunity
- Program Management & Strategy
- Design, evaluate, and manage compensation, benefits, and incentive programs to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Provide insights and recommendations on pay structures, salary adjustments, and incentive plans.
- Lead the administration of group benefits, retirement programs, and wellness partnerships, ensuring seamless operations and compliance.
- Partner with external providers to oversee renewals, funding, and reporting processes.
- Drive communication and education initiatives to improve employee understanding and engagement in total rewards programs.
Compensation Administration
- Support annual compensation cycles including merit increases, bonuses, and incentive payouts.
- Conduct job evaluations, benchmark roles through market analysis, and maintain up-to-date salary structures.
- Oversee compensation data integrity, reporting, and compliance with employment legislation.
- Participate in market surveys to ensure pay practices remain competitive.
Benefits & Retirement Administration
- Manage day-to-day benefit and retirement plan operations, including enrollment, life event changes, and leaves of absence.
- Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
- Collaborate with Payroll and HR Systems to ensure accurate deductions and data maintenance.
- Monitor trends and recommend enhancements to optimize value and cost-effectiveness.
Stakeholder & Vendor Relations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on compensation and benefits matters.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure delivery of agreed service levels.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Communications, and other departments to support business goals.
- Participate in due diligence and integration planning for acquisitions as needed.
About You
- 5+ years of progressive experience managing or administering total rewards programs (compensation, benefits, retirement).
- Strong knowledge of compensation design, market benchmarking, and benefits administration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively across all levels.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with HRIS or payroll systems.
- Post-secondary degree in business, human resources, or a related field (designations such as CCP, CEBS, or PLP are assets).
Salary Range
$80,000 - $95,000 / year
