Job summary

A community support organization seeks a Tenant Support Worker in Courtenay, BC. This full-time role involves assisting low-income adults with housing and support services, helping them achieve greater independence. Responsibilities include client assessments, crisis intervention, and managing support plans. Candidates must have a diploma in Community Social Service and relevant experience, along with strong communication skills and a commitment to working in diverse environments. A valid driver's license and first aid certification are preferable.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years sobriety if having alcohol and/or drug problems.
  • Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector required.
  • Recent related experience of two years or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with support services and assessments.
  • Develop service plans and administer finances and medication.
  • Complete required paperwork and maintain evaluative data.
  • Work closely with individuals over the long term.
