About The Role

This role requires that candidates go through a Top Secret Clearance with the Canadian government, hence the applicant must be a Canadian Citizen with 10 years verifiable history on Canadian soil

Analyzing an organization’s technology systems and processes to identify problems, recommend solutions, and improve efficiency by translating business needs into technical requirements and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure IT solutions align with strategic goals. Key responsibilities include eliciting and documenting requirements, performing cost-benefit analyses for technology investments, liaising between business departments and the IT team, and assisting in testing and implementation. The goal is to bridge the gap between business objectives and technical capabilities, ensuring that technology investments deliver tangible value.

What You’ll Do

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders
  • Evaluate existing IT systems and processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
  • Research and recommend software, hardware, or process changes to meet business needs
  • Act as a liaison between business units and the IT department, ensuring clear communication
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses to justify technology investments and improvements
  • Assist with testing and deployment of new IT solutions and systems
  • Create reports, documentation, and forecasts to support decision-making
  • Identify and assess potential risks in current and proposed IT systems
  • Conduct industry research to stay updated on emerging technology trends and recommend innovative strategies

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical writing within IT environments preferred
  • Bilingual (English/French)
  • Top Secret Clearance with the Canadian government required. Applicant must be a Canadian Citizen with 10 years verifiable history on Canadian soil
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written communication skills for clear and concise documentation
  • Solid understanding of information technology, software development, and system analysis
  • Business acumen with a strong grasp of strategic goals and processes
  • Familiarity with project lifecycles and collaboration with project managers
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation for business insights
  • Experience with documentation tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe RoboHelp) and version control systems (e.g., Git)
