Job Description

As a key member of Grantek’s Engineering team, you will develop real-time automation solutions from the manufacturing plant floor to the enterprise level, utilizing various programming, configuration, and design tools, including:

  • PLC and PAC Programming
  • Operator Interface and HMI application design
  • SCADA design
  • Network design
  • Database design
  • Vision system design
  • Machine Safety system design
  • Servo motion control
  • Information Solution design
  • MES design
  • ERP connector development
  • High-level software solutions (C#, HTML5, .NET, SQL, VB, VBA, etc.)

All junior team members will participate in our mentoring program, working directly alongside Senior Engineer professionals.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Engineering and implementing real-time automation controls and information solutions
  • Conceptualizing during project design phases
  • System programming, debugging, testing
  • Creating documentation such as engineering notes, proposals, traceability documents, case studies
  • Commissioning solutions at client sites and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Developing methodologies and solving complex problems
  • Learning new technologies
  • Mentoring colleagues
  • Engaging in a fun and challenging work environment
Technologies Used

Includes platforms for PLC programming, system networking, HMI, SCADA, servo motion control, vision systems, MES, high-level programming, databases, operating systems, and project documentation tools.

Qualifications
  • Completion or near completion of a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with listed technologies
  • Meticulous, conscientious, analytical, focused, and a quick learner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America
