Job description
Overview

The Structural Building Team is currently looking for a Structural Engineer to support the growth of the office and the team. This position can be based out of either Toronto or Ottawa.

Your role
  • Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications (steel, concrete, wood, masonry, etc.).
  • Conduct studies, surveys, technical reports and structural inspections.
  • Supervise the execution of structural work during the construction phase.
  • Ensure that the engineering work is produced according to the quality standards of the industry and respect the National Building Code and Ontario Building Code.
  • Coordinate projects that impact your structural design with the other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architecture, process, etc.).
  • Maintain and develop client and stakeholder relationships.
About you
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with PEO.
  • Minimum five (5) years of previous related experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong experience with structural design software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage changing priorities.
