The Team and Role

The Developer Tooling team empowers Scribd engineers across the software development lifecycle. We build and evolve the tools and frameworks that power engineering workflows, modernize infrastructure, optimize build and deployment processes, and expand development capabilities. Our work drives broad, meaningful impact by boosting productivity and elevating the developer experience company-wide.

What You’ll Do

• Create and maintain internal libraries, components, and utilities used by Scribd engineers
• Improve AWS infrastructure, including application networking and traffic routing, using Terraform
• Build, maintain, and improve tools and frameworks that streamline development workflows, including modernizing tooling, optimizing build processes, and enhancing development capabilities
• Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that increase efficiency and productivity

Key Attributes

• 4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Curiosity-driven individual with a growth mindset
• Comfortable navigating DevOps workflows and modern cloud infrastructure
