Position Summary

Responsible for the overall management and performance of our vehicle maintenance facility. The role involves overseeing a team of mechanics and technicians, ensuring the timely and efficient repair and maintenance of our fleet. Additionally, will manage budgets, implement preventive maintenance programs, enforce safety standards, and collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime, optimize vehicle performance, and support the company's logistics and transportation operations

Schedule:

Day shift, Monday to Friday

What you will do
  • Daily review and updating of the TMW Shop planner to coordinate the shop workload
  • Daily communication of work schedule and priorities with shop employees
  • Breakdown support and managing for CCS customers using the CCS Breakdown Module
  • First point of contact for customers requesting repairs
  • Schedule vendor repairs and issue purchase orders
  • Review daily inventory and monthly cycle counts
  • Reviewing daily parts usage and re-ordering parts
  • Creating parts POs and receiving parts
  • Daily communication with Operations, providing updates on units out of service
  • Performing daily yard checks
  • Coordinate PM and annual inspection in the shop
  • Review and oversee the in‑shop techs performing the Preventive Maintenance and Annual inspection, ensuring repairs meet the National Safety Code
  • Visual inspection and completion of the annual inspection following the DriveOn inspection program
  • Affix the DriveOn annual certificate onto the unit upon completion
  • Creating all job sections for shop techs using VRMS codes and Standard repair times
  • Daily review of open work orders
  • Daily review of completed work orders to close status
  • Reviewing Productivity and Efficiency reports to ensure meeting company goals
  • Daily review of vendor estimate to capture manufacturer warranty parameters
  • Synergize invoice processing
  • Weekly shop update meeting with Eastern Ontario Fleet Manager
  • Duties as assigned
