Job summary

An automotive services organization in the Regional District of East Kootenay is seeking a candidate to assist with vehicle maintenance and repairs. Responsibilities include oil changes, tire changes, and ensuring a safe work environment. Candidates should have mechanical aptitude and be physically capable to perform demanding tasks. Reliability and a strong willingness to learn are key attributes. Training provided for those new to the automotive field.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Strong willingness to learn and follow direction.
  • Mechanical aptitude or interest in pursuing an automotive career.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting mechanics with vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Performing basic tasks such as tire changes, oil changes, fluid checks, and inspections.
  • Moving vehicles in and out of the shop safely.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Handling tools, parts, and shop equipment.
  • Supporting general shop operations as needed.
