Job summary

A leading game development company is looking for a Senior Unreal Programmer (C++) to join their team in Quebec. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of programming experience and expertise in C++. The company offers a flexible work environment, up to 7 weeks of vacation, comprehensive insurance, and plenty of team activities. Job Description

What your weeks will look like

  • Daily Scrum meetings to start the day off right;
  • Act as a technical resource for the other programmers on your team;
  • Take part in code reviews with various team members;
  • Identify and solve performance issues related to CPU, GPU, and console memory;
  • Develop and maintain links between the engine and toolchains/pipelines on console;
  • Debug issues related to new mobile devices and Xbox/Sony operating system updates;
  • Maintain configurations and integrations with first‑party services (Microsoft and Sony).
Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • University or college degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a programming role;
  • Strong understanding of the different hardware and software layers involved when running a video game;
  • Ability to think systemically while considering complex architectures working together (SDK / game servers or clients / Unreal Engine / streaming protocols);
  • Comfortable with long development iterations;
  • Excellent command of C++;
  • Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written). English skills are required to perform the job, as we collaborate with English‑speaking partners;
  • Ability to travel outside the country when needed.
