Job description
About Us

Gramian Consulting is a boutique consultancy specializing in IT professional services and engineering talent solutions. With a strong background in software engineering and leadership, we help companies build high-performing teams by matching them with professionals who truly fit their needs. This opening is on behalf of one of our clients, and we\'ll work closely with you to make the process clear and straightforward.

About The Company

Our client is a venture-backed, product-led SaaS company serving modern online businesses and Content Creators. They build tools that help independent operators launch, sell, and manage their offerings end-to-end—from storefronts and checkout to analytics and customer engagement. The team is lean, senior, and highly collaborative, with engineers closely involved in product decisions. The environment favors rapid iteration, measurable outcomes, and craftsmanship in both UX and reliability. The company is headquartered in North America with a distributed team; meaningful overlap with Pacific Time is preferred.

Role Overview

We\'re hiring a Core Product Manager to own initiatives that move the company\'s north-star metrics—activation, retention, and sustainable growth. You\'ll identify the problems worth solving, reduce complexity to clear plans, and drive discovery-to-delivery with engineering and design. This role suits a highly self-directed operator who ships quickly, learns out loud, and measures impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Move core metrics: design and execute work that improves activation (trial → active), early/ongoing retention (e.g., M1-M6), and growth loops.
  • Find & frame opportunities: analyze funnels/behavioral data, interview users, and translate insights into crisp problem statements, PRDs, and bets.
  • Plan & deliver: own a 1-3 month roadmap; define success metrics; prioritize ruthlessly; keep execution unblocked and on-time.
  • Test & iterate fast: run lightweight experiments, A/B tests, and MVPs; make decisions with directional data and clear follow-ups.
  • Partner deeply: work day-to-day with engineering and design; align with founders and cross-functional stakeholders on outcomes.
  • Communicate with clarity: create concise specs, wireframes, and updates; socialize learnings via dashboards and brief write-ups.
  • Champion user-centricity: apply design-thinking to simplify complex workflows and solve real customer pain.
Location & Work Mode

Toronto HQ; primarily in-office with flexibility for creator events and user research. Relocation support can be discussed during the process.

Requirements
Must-Haves
  • 4+ years as a Product Manager with measurable impact on growth, retention, or activation.
  • Demonstrated self-started initiatives from discovery → launch → iteration.
  • Toronto-based (or willing to relocate) and energized by an in-office environment.
  • Operates with an agency mindset: highly self-directed, outcome-oriented.
  • Bias to action: ships fast, learns quickly, doesn\'t wait for perfect information.
  • Clear thinker who simplifies complexity and solves real customer pain.
  • Design-thinking orientation and user-centric problem framing.
  • Female preferred/only
Nice-to-Haves (not all required)
  • 1-2 years in early-stage startups.
  • Fluency with Excel and working SQL.
