About the Role

CapIntel is growing a Platform Engineering team to strengthen the architecture reliability and scalability of our systems. Were looking for a Senior Platform Developer with a solid background in software development to help build and maintain internal tools cloud infrastructure and CI / CD workflows that improve the developer experience and support secure efficient product delivery.

This role focuses on platform and tooling but familiarity with application-layer technologies is important. Youll collaborate closely with product teams and may contribute to service design or integration when needed.

What Youll Do

• Improve development workflows: Work with engineering and product teams to reduce friction and improve consistency throughout the development lifecycle.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure: Use Infrastructure as Code to create secure scalable AWS environments that support product development.
• Standardize deployment processes: Build and maintain CI / CD pipelines that enable automation and reliable software delivery.
• Develop platform tools and services: Build internal tools libraries and services that improve operational efficiency and support self-service for development teams.
• Support best practices: Contribute to the development and adoption of cloud security and reliability standards across the organization.
• Apply strong engineering skills: Write maintainable code and contribute to scalable system design with a focus on long-term stability and clarity.

What Were Looking For

• Software development experience: Comfortable building and maintaining software using modern programming languages (e.g. TypeScript Python Go or similar).
• AWS infrastructure knowledge: Experience designing and operating cloud environments using core AWS services.
• Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with tools like AWS CDK or Terraform to define and manage infrastructure.
• CI / CD workflows: Hands-on experience with automated deployment pipelines and release processes.
• Cloud security and observability: Understanding of monitoring alerting and security practices in production environments.
• Collaborative mindset: Experience working with cross-functional teams and contributing to shared goals.

Bonus Experience

• Experience with observability platforms such as Splunk Datadog or New Relic.
• Background in security-focused development or threat modelling.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices including frameworks like OWASP Top 10 or MITRE ATT&CK.

The Interview Process

• 30-minute interview with Talent Acquisition
• 60-minute experience deep dive with the Director of Platform Engineering
• 60-minute technical design and architecture interview with two members of Engineering leadership
