Responsibilities
  • Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
  • Professionally install HVAC equipment and accessory items in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
  • Be willing to learn and grow as part of a progressive customer service oriented team.
  • Create a positive relationship with customers; offer for sale other company products and services and demonstrate your ability to communicate and problem solve to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all safety rules.
  • Do not sell a repair the customer does not need.
  • Explain the benefits of newer, highly efficient equipment to the customer.
  • Maintain the company vehicle to a neat, clean and safe standard.
  • Successfully obtain HVAC leads and enroll CPP to company performance targets.

What you bring
  • A growth mindset: we’re looking for people who are dependable, ambitious and want to grow with Reliance.
  • Must meet Company requirements with respect to general qualifications and have completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Must have certificate of qualification (C of Q) as an Air Conditioning Mechanic (Ontario – 313D).
  • Must have Gas Technician ‘2’ (G2) license.
  • Must have a valid ODP certificate.
  • Must have at least a Class G Driver’s License.
  • Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts as required.
  • Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to understand/learn new technologies (e.g. Electronics/electricity).
  • Must be willing to wear Company provided uniform.
