Job description

Responsibilities

  • Establish and support the design vision of new projects and communicate the vision to the project team, including sub-consultants.
  • Work with the Client to establish the project schedule and ensure timely delivery of all milestones.
  • Manage coordination of drawings, design, and specifications within the project team.
  • Communicate with the Client and subconsultants as necessary to support project progress.
  • Oversee the pre-design phase of the project, including functional programming, report preparation, sketches, and research.
  • Manage the overall design process and ensure quality control of project documents.
  • Support coordination of sub-consultants’ work.
  • Contribute to business development through proposal writing and client engagement.

Qualifications

  • Registered Architect licensed or eligible for licensure in Nova Scotia.

Experience

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with Revit and Bluebeam.
  • Strong time management and scheduling skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent design, presentation, and development of construction documents.
  • Effective communication and graphic communication skills.
