Job description

We oversee the daily management and development of a diverse portfolio of multi-family rental properties. This full-time, in-office role is based at our newly renovated location in Abbotsford, B.C.

Duties:
  • Preparation of month end and year end financial statements and analytical procedures including assisting our external accounting firm at year end
  • Full G/L entries, reconciliations and financial analysis for various companies in the Group
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations for various bank accounts
  • Balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
  • Month-end journal entries and processes
  • Preparation and filing of GST & WorkSafe returns
  • Payroll processing
  • Preparation of Lender Reporting packages
  • Support other departments with their enquiries
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Controller and/or CFO
Required Qualifications:
  • Business degree with a major in accounting preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-company environment
  • Experience with Yardi Property Management software and/or property management/property development industry experience an asset
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage a high workload with excellent time management
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong sense of personal responsibility and reliability
  • Ability and desire to work as part of a team
