The UCDSB is currently hiring a Secondary Long-Term Occasional Teacher for the following:

Details of Assignment
  • Semester ONE
  • Course Code(s): TMW3E / 4E / TMY4C / TWJ3E / 4E / TDJ2O / 3M / 4M
  • Semester FTE 1.0 (0.5 FTE annually)
  • Position ends January 30, 2026 or upon the return of the incumbent whichever is earlier.

Secondary LTO positions may be split up and offered to multiple applicants at the discretion of the Principal and Hiring Team.

  • OCT in Good Standing
  • Qualifications Required: Advanced Tech. Manufacturing; Advanced Construction; Basic / Advanced Tech. Design

The UCDSB requires your current and two most recent direct supervisors.

If your experience is in a day-to-day occasional capacity, ensure that you list the length of time that you worked for that Supervisor and whether the assignment was casual, day-to-day or in a long-term occasional capacity.

Placement Teacher References: If providing a Placement Teacher as a reference, the UCDSB will require confirmation and approval from the Principal at the Placement School that the deferred reference (Placement Teacher) is approved to provide reference on behalf of the Principal.

The UCDSB does not accept colleagues or personal relationships as references.

Selection Process

The UCDSB selection process includes a review of required qualifications, interview and assessment process, and reference checks. All employment offers are conditional on candidates providing a valid criminal record check for the vulnerable sector.
