Safety Supervisor — Regina

Overview

Interpro Pipe & Steel is seeking a Safety Supervisor to join our team in Regina. This individual will work closely with management, frontline employees, and contractors to identify hazards, implement safety programs, and promote a culture of safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management and a proactive approach to risk prevention.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with provincial and federal safety standards
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for all employees
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead and participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses
  • Prepare and maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
  • Provide guidance and support to frontline employees and management on safety issues and best practices
  • Collaborate with management to establish and update safety policies and procedures
  • Respond to safety-related emergencies
  • Organize and lead safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote safety awareness
  • Manage contractor qualifications and communications
Requirements
  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
  • Occupational Health and Safety Practitioners Certificate, CRST, CRSP or a related designation (preferred)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a safety management or supervisory role, ideally in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction setting
  • In-depth knowledge of Provincial regulations and safety management systems
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to assess risks and implement effective control measures
  • Proficient with safety software, reporting tools and Microsoft applications
  • Ability to work rotating day/night shifts, including extended workdays, weekends, and statutory holidays
