As a new Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) joining our Village, you will:

  • Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and deliver high-quality personal care to residents.
  • Work as a key member of our Village and neighbourhood multidisciplinary teams to understand residents’ individual needs and advocate for their participation in care decisions.
  • Foster exemplary relationships with residents, families, and team members to deliver holistic care, ensuring safe medication and treatment administration focused on accuracy and quality.
  • Follow plans of care in accordance with the College of Nurses standards and promptly report any changes in residents’ well-being to the Charge Nurse and leadership team.

To be successful, you will:

  • Hold current registration as an RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Maintain current Heart Save Level CPR certification.
  • Be excited about our objectives, Village philosophy, and family values.
  • Display a caring and respectful attitude towards residents, families, and team members.
  • Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the RPN role.

It would be an asset if you have:

  • MDS credentials.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations, and best practices in the retirement and long-term care sector (e.g., RAI processes, CIHI, supplies, equipment ordering).
