Salary: $37.4581 to $39.7287 per hour

Description

This role is responsible for providing general nursing care while functioning as a member of both nursing and multi-disciplinary teams within the Mental Health and Addictions portfolio, including Morningstar Centre, Del-Art Recovery Home, Managed Alcohol Program (MAP), and Rapid Access Addition Medicine (RAAM) programs and ensuring client needs are met.

Qualifications
  • Currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Specialized training or certification in concurrent disorders preferred
  • Firm understanding of concurrent disorders, substance use disorders, opioid use disorders and associated treatment modalities
  • Understanding of the quality standards for the treatment of mental health and addictions disorders
  • Knowledge of the Centre of Excellence and its alignment with the Ministry of Health Roadmap to Wellness
  • Knowledge, skills and experience in assessment, treatment & rehabilitation, crisis management, advocacy, and principles of PSR
  • Ability to work as a team and collaborate with others including members from other community organizations
  • Advanced skills in reasoning, problem solving, decision-making and workload organization
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Previous experience working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity
  • Trauma informed approach
  • Must have demonstrated regular attendance at work
  • Required to work flexible hours and rotating shift
