In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, the Clinical Nurse Educator practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), as well as within a person- and family-centered care model. The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is responsible for identifying, planning, compiling and delivering training sessions for staff to assist them in meeting their key competencies in compliance with scope. The CNE compiles, implements and evaluates general and unit-specific Orientation and Education programs for staff. The CNE facilitates the development and ongoing maintenance of the department\'s preceptorship/mentorship programs. The CNE participates in the ongoing review and revision of patient care standards, policies and procedures and coordinates the in-service programs aimed at meeting the continuing educational needs of staff.
Responsibilities
- Identify, plan, compile and deliver staff training to meet key competencies in compliance with scope.
- Compile, implement and evaluate general and unit-specific orientation and education programs for staff.
- Facilitate development and ongoing maintenance of the department\'s preceptorship/mentorship programs.
- Participate in ongoing review and revision of patient care standards, policies and procedures.
- Coordinate in-service programs to meet continuing educational needs of staff.
Requirements to Apply
- Applicant must be willing to drive and travel.
- Applicant must have 3+ years of ER experience.

Shift Rotation / Hours
Days, Evenings - 07:00 to 18:00, 12:00 to 23:00, Rotating.
Fort Nelson General Hospital
Fort Nelson General Hospital is an important health centre for the north. The hospital houses 25 Acute Care beds and 8 Long-term beds. Services include:

Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing plus three years\' recent related experience and two years\' formal experience in adult teaching/learning and curriculum development, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Three to five years\' experience in the area of clinical focus
- Current CPR Certification
- Valid BC Driver\'s License
- Current practicing registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives
