About The Job
  • Provides nursing services within the framework of the Population Health/Health Promotion model
  • Translate knowledge from the health and social sciences to support health enhancing behaviours to diverse individuals, families, and population groups through universal and targeted interventions, programs and advocacy
  • Offers services in communities, schools, homes and outreach locations to individuals, families and communities

Inherent in the role are knowledge, skills and abilities specific to health promotion, epidemiology, community development, primary health care, social determinants of health and illness, and disease and injury prevention.

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as‑needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00 hours.

About this Location

Nestled peacefully in the shadow of “K” Mountain, on the banks of the Similkameen River, in the beautiful Similkameen Valley is the colourful village of Keremeos, 48 kilometres southwest of Penticton. In the summer, the plethora of fruit and vegetable stands in the area will delight you. Grapes grown in this lush land are known as some of the best in the area. The well‑preserved early 1900’s buildings give the town a distinctive Old West feel. Cattle Ranching, hay ranging and fruit growing are the economic mainstays here, with cherry, peach, pear, apricot and apple orchards blanketing the landscape.

  • Please note that travel is a requirement for this position and transportation arrangements must meet the Employer’s requirements. You are required to hold a valid BC Driver’s License and may be required to drive a personal car on mileage and /or be assigned a fleet vehicle as a condition of employment.
