POSITION SUMMARY

Our client is one of the few stand-alone, global leaders in Pediatric Health, with over 400 staff and physicians dedicated to helping children and youth live their best lives. They are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Care responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for individual patients and families. The nurse in this role is expected to work independently and as part of the Cardiology team to deliver family-focused, evidence-based nursing practice.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
  1. The primary role is as a Cardiology Clinic Nurse (Case Manager), with additional duties in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
  2. Provide telephone counseling to families.
  3. Extensive teaching to families and healthcare professionals.
  4. Participate in all clinical activities, research, and ongoing learning to develop expertise in the specialty.
  5. Maintain flexibility in scheduling, including days, evenings, weekends, and potential on-call shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
  • Current Certification of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential)
  • Bilingualism in English/French (Essential)
  • BScN (current or in progress) (Preferred)
  • Minimum two years of Pediatric experience (Preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (Essential)
  • Strong teaching skills (Essential)
  • Demonstrated professionalism and interest in self-development (Essential)
  • Previous experience with cardiology patients (Essential)
