About the Role

Currently, we are seeking motivated and experienced individuals to join our growing team as a Raise Bore Helpers in Matachewan, Ontario. We are actively looking to fill multiple positions. This position plays a critical role in overseeing the safe and efficient execution of raise boring operations to support the continued success of our underground projects. The key responsibilities of the Raise Bore Helper include but are not limited to:

  • Assist Raise bore Operators with the setup, alignment, and operation of raise boring equipment
  • Handle and transport tooling, materials, and consumables to the raise bore site
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment under direction
  • Support the preparation of work areas including ventilation, barricades, and clean-up
  • Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or unsafe conditions
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with the crew to meet daily production goals
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and toolbox talks

Qualifications

  • Prior underground mining experience is considered an asset
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Basic Underground Common Core (770010 - Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner with minimum U0000, 0001, 0002, 0012 modules)
  • Strong interest in learning raise boring operations and progressing within the team
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour in underground conditions
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well under supervision
  • Excellent work ethic and positive attitude toward safety and teamwork
  • Willingness to travel to project sites within Ontario

Schedule

  • 7 on 7 off schedule
