Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing luxury residential renovation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. While primarily office-based, this role requires regular site visits to monitor progress and engage directly with clients, subcontractors, and trades. The position is ideal for a bilingual candidate with strong proficiency in French, highly organized, and capable of excelling in client-facing interactions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage high-end custom renovation projects from pre-construction to final handover.
- Develop project budgets, timelines, and scopes, and ensure strict adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and in-house teams to meet project milestones and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations with professionalism and transparency.
- Conduct frequent site visits to oversee work quality, ensure compliance with plans, and address issues proactively.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and consultants to ensure design intent is realized and construction details are executed accurately.
- Track project costs and manage changes to maintain budget control.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction project management, ideally with high-end or custom renovations.
- Fluent in French (spoken and written); English proficiency is an asset.
- Deep knowledge of residential construction processes and local building regulations in Quebec.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities—able to manage client relationships and lead project teams effectively.
- Proficient with construction management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular travel to job sites.
