Job Description

We are seeking a motivated student who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Civil, or Sustainable Design Engineering.

  • Hourly Wage: $23.45 - $25.10
Responsibilities
  • Assist with capital projects from preliminary discussions to installation and commissioning, including defining project scope, budget, and schedule, preparing tender packages, contractor selection and supervision, and defining equipment specifications.
  • Provide technical support to maintain existing mechanical infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot issues with existing plant infrastructure, including pump systems, augers, conveyors, and product transfer systems.
  • Offer technical feedback on improving existing equipment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Civil, or Sustainable Design Engineering.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and MS Project.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Mechanical and AutoCAD Inventor.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including Safeguarding of Machinery Standards, Occupational Health and Safety Act of PEI, Lock Out & Tag Out Procedures, Confined Space Awareness, and Working from Heights. General awareness of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act & Regulations, and the Power Engineering Act & Regulations is an asset.
