Introduction

Production Technician

Our client is seeking a Production Technician to join their team. This is a hands-on role supporting plant operations across treatment, conditioning, packaging, warehousing, and seasonal production activities. The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, and eager to learn different aspects of production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate safely and efficiently across multiple production functions (treatment, conditioning, packaging, warehouse).
  • Support seasonal activities, including receiving and processing crops, drying, packaging, labeling, inventory, and shipping.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment as trained.
  • Perform general site maintenance, cleaning, and plant upkeep.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to maintain safety and product quality.
  • Work independently or within a team, adapting to changing priorities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma (Grade 12).
  • Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Ability to work long hours and rotational shifts, including overtime as needed.
  • Reliable transportation to the site.
  • Pass background check and pre-employment screening.
  • CSA-approved steel-toe boots (over the ankle) required; other PPE provided.
Schedule & Shifts
  • Continental work weeks, including weekends.
  • Combination of 8-hour and 12-hour rotating shifts:
  • 8-hour shifts: 6:00am–2:30pm / 2:00pm–10:30pm
  • 12-hour shifts: 6:00am–6:00pm / 6:00pm–6:00am (2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on rotation)
  • Expect to work every other weekend (rotating days and nights).
Compensation
  • Base rate: $21.00/hr
Shift differentials
  • Afternoons (4:00pm–10:00pm): +$3.00/hr
  • Nights (10:00pm–6:00am): +$2.00/hr
