Overview

One of our manufacturing clients is looking for a

Production Manager

for their production facility close to

Niagara Falls, ON

region.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all product packaging activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, HACCP requirements, and quality standards.
  • Develop and execute strategies that enhance product quality, improve efficiency, and maintain workplace safety.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to optimize materials, processes, and equipment performance.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and quality inspections, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise packaging staff on safety protocols, quality control techniques, and operational best practices.
  • Monitor machine performance, identify process bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives to maximize uptime and productivity.
  • Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure timely equipment repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
  • Track and report on packaging performance metrics, including safety incidents, quality trends, and productivity improvements.
  • Manage daily production planning to ensure on-time delivery, accurate inventory control, and adherence to granulation and quality specifications.
  • Maintain clear communication with Purification and Order Processing departments to align production output with customer orders.
  • Proactively address product quality or granulation issues, re-booking stock when necessary, and providing feedback to production teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (BSc, BTech, or Engineering Technology).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing management experience, preferably in food manufacturing or a related industry.
