Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee manufacturing operations at their facility. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is a key member of the Plant Leadership Team and will provide strategic direction while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and performance goals are consistently achieved.

This position requires a proven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values continuous improvement, and can inspire a culture of excellence on the production floor.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead plant operations with a strong focus on achieving a “Zero Incident” safety culture.
• Oversee production performance, ensuring goals for quality, efficiency, and cost are met or exceeded.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote a Lean culture across the facility.
• Develop and track daily, weekly, and monthly production metrics, aligning team performance with organizational KPIs.
• Support compliance with IATF, ISO 14001, ESA, OHSA, and company policies.
• Lead and develop Supervisors, Team Leaders, and production staff across multiple shifts.
• Manage production planning, budgeting, employee relations, and performance assessments.
• Provide visible leadership, clear communication, and strong engagement with employees.
• Foster a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged team culture.

Who You Are:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing leadership or production management.
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing with a track record of successful implementation.
• Knowledge of ESA, OHSA, and compliance standards.
• Skilled in metrics, analytics, and ERP systems (experience with Plex is an asset).
• Exceptional communicator with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Proven ability to manage labor/management relations effectively.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, or Technology Management is an asset.
