Job Overview

We’re looking for a Product Manager who can turn complex business needs into clear technical requirements that deliver real‑world impact. You’ll lead the product roadmap for the Sport Bodies Business Unit, guide agile delivery cycles, and ensure each solution aligns with client expectations, delivery capacity, and our long‑term product and data strategy.

Working across Engineering, Data, Delivery, and Commercial teams, you’ll influence the full product lifecycle – from discovery to build, launch, and optimisation. You’ll also help shape how 4GLOBAL’s sport intelligence platform – InsightOS – evolves to meet the needs of national and regional sport bodies globally, with data integrations at the core of every deployment.

This is a role for someone who combines product and data expertise, commercial awareness, and a strong understanding of the sport sector. You won’t just manage features – you’ll help define where the product goes next.

As we expand across Europe and North America, some flexibility may be required to collaborate across time zones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy & Stakeholder Alignment – Own and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Sport Bodies Business Unit (BU) across multiple regions, aligning it with the BU’s strategy.
  • Act as the BU‑facing lead for the implementation of 4GLOBAL’s central product and data strategy, ensuring ongoing coordination with the Chief Development Officer (CDO).
  • Conduct competitive analysis, market sizing, and opportunity assessments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Partner with cross‑functional leaders to shape and oversee product positioning, pricing inputs, packaging, and go‑to‑market plans, developing clear value propositions, differentiated demos, and compelling narratives that enable Sales and Customer Success to win and retain strategic sport clients.
  • Set clear expectations on scope, timelines, and trade‑offs with stakeholders, based on team capacity and delivery constraints.
  • Define, prioritise, and oversee the delivery of configurable modules and custom insight dashboards within 4GLOBAL’s InsightOS platform ensuring alignment with each client’s specific business needs.
  • Scope, plan, and oversee data integrations with internal and external systems, working with Engineering and Data teams to ensure integrations are aligned with product objectives, technical feasibility, and long‑term platform strategy.
  • Own the creation of business and functional requirements, translating complex client needs into clear user stories, product specifications, and sprint‑ready Jira tickets.
  • Play a key role in backlog refinement and sprint planning by providing clear commercial rationale and prioritisation input to the Engineering team.
  • Work hand‑in‑hand with Engineering, Data, and Delivery to execute sprints on time and to the required quality.
  • Retire legacy products and features and manage a smooth migration to InsightOS for teams and customers.
  • Define product success metrics and OKRs, set targets, and report progress regularly to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead customer and stakeholder discovery to confirm problems and opportunities and turn insight into clear decisions.
  • Plan and coordinate releases including betas and UAT, publish release notes, and prepare internal teams ahead of launch.
  • Manage product risks and dependencies early, including performance, data quality, compliance, and operational readiness.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5 to 7 years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or BI/analytics, owning the lifecycle from discovery to release and outcomes.
  • Proven roadmap ownership and stakeholder alignment, confident using Jira/Confluence for planning and delivery.
  • Strong Agile practice (Scrum/Kanban) with a track record of meeting sprint goals and delivering incremental value.
  • Proven experience in scoping data integrations, including APIs, data source evaluation, transformation needs, and data governance considerations.
  • Technical fluency, comfortable discussing APIs, data models and integrations with developers, engineers and analysts.
  • Clear, actionable requirements writing with well‑formed user stories/tickets and acceptance criteria.
  • Exposure to go‑to‑market activities such as packaging, pricing inputs and launch readiness.
  • Working knowledge of privacy, security and compliance for data products, including GDPR.
  • Experience migrating customers to new platforms and retiring legacy features with minimal disruption.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams including UX, Data Science or GIS.
  • Experience with data platforms, including visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau), data modelling, and API/integration‑based product delivery.
  • Experience scoping and managing custom client implementations within a scalable SaaS platform.
  • Knowledge of the sport, health or public sector landscapes. Familiarity with sport participation data, facility networks, national initiatives, funding models, etc.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
