Job summary

A leading plumbing company in Timmins is seeking experienced apprentices to install and repair a variety of plumbing fixtures and systems. Successful candidates will have a Registered Apprenticeship certificate and 1-2 years of experience. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, testing for leaks, and performing installations across commercial and residential settings. This permanent position offers 35 to 40 hours of work per week, requiring a valid driver's license and teamwork skills.

Tasks
  • Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
