About This Role

As a Paralegal on the Property team you’ll play a crucial role in client service and practice management. Bring your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach to help our team deliver excellent client care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client intake, conduct conflict searches, and open new files.
  • Schedule meetings and manage the lawyer’s calendar.
  • Set court dates, track filing deadlines, and prepare client documents.
  • Draft routine correspondence and organize client report books.
  • Maintain electronic and paper files, handle mail, and coordinate document processing.
  • Conduct property searches, manage tax certificates and payments, and organize mortgage payouts.
  • Process wire transfers and manage financial requests.
  • Assisting other Property team members as needed.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Graduate of a Legal Assistant or Paralegal program with 1-3 years of experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, proofreading, communication, and time management skills.
  • Mindset: A team player with a positive approach, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.
  • Tech Proficiency: Adept at using technology such as Outlook and Microsoft Office, with a talent for learning new software quickly. Familiarity with PropertyOnline and/or ProLaw is a bonus.
