WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

In this role you will:

  • Operate straightforward equipment and/or machinery and complete general labour duties.
  • Load and unload containers, materials and products on trucks, or trailers by hand or by forklift truck.
  • Transfer goods, organize the products received and prepare goods for shipment.
  • Blend fertilizer.
  • You may receive grain, and grade by sampling, testing, and weighing the product to ensure quality aligns with GROWMARK’s standards.
  • Remove snow in winter months.

*****This role is a Spring/Summer Seasonal role****

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • A general knowledge and skills required to safely operate straightforward plant equipment, and/or machinery.
  • A valid driver’s license, with a clean record. DZ license is an asset.
  • Ability to lift 55lbs.
  • Ability to operate skid steer, loader, and/or bob cat.
  • Ability to read maps, bills of ladings, follow specific delivery directions and instructions, follow posted safety rules and safe operating procedures to ensure proper techniques are performed; write and make accurate entries in daily driving log, comprehend simple instructions.
  • Conversational English skills.
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Desire to grow with the company. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to learn the agricultural business and grow in their career.
  • Willingness to work extra hours in the spring planting and fall harvesting seasons.
