About the Role

Tłı̨chǫ Community Builders (TCB) is seeking a motivated and hardworking Oil Heat System Technician (Oil Burner Machanic) Apprentice to join our team in Behchokǫ̀, NT. This exciting opportunity will allow you to gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in residential and commercial oil heating systems.

As an Oil Heat System Technician Apprentice, you’ll work directly under the guidance of a certified Oil Heat System Technician, learning everything from installation and servicing to troubleshooting and maintenance. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to grow your career over a four-year period, leading to an Oil Heat System Technician trade certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial oil heating systems under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Support routine servicing, inspections, and safety checks on oil-fired heating equipment.
• Prepare materials, tools, and equipment needed for system installation and repair.
• Learn to troubleshoot system malfunctions and provide basic repairs under supervision.
• Follow safety standards, codes, and company procedures to ensure high-quality work.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite and assist with equipment management.
• Participate in on-the-job training and pursue learning opportunities to enhance trade skills.
• Work collaboratively within a team, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Qualifications
