A leading data center provider in London, Ontario is seeking a Network Services Administrator to provide operational support for network services across multiple facilities. This role requires strong skills in configuration and maintenance of data center networks, along with a solid understanding of security compliance standards. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience and knowledge of various network technologies including Cisco and Fortinet. Qualifications

About The Role

Reporting to the Manager Network Services, this role delivers operational support for Qu Data Centers Core and Managed network services at multiple data centers nationwide. In addition to day-to-day activities, the administrator provides on-call support for the multi-vendor infrastructure. Being customer focused this role requires skills in configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting complex incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in Network Services Change, Incident and Problem Management activities
• Manage vendors’ and service providers’ SLAs and performance
• Perform proactive maintenance for internal and external customers networks
• Take ownership of complex service issues questions to and lead their resolution
• Ensure network services security through compliance to standards, involvement in audits, strictly following established processes and procedures
• Maintain and improve service levels through improvement and development plans
• Apply hardware upgrades, software updates, configuration corrections and customizations
• Work in collaboration with other Qu teams and vendors to implement changes meeting targets and mitigating risk of customer experience impact due to changes
• Identify opportunities to save on support costs to management and implement as directed
• Adhere to all controls and processes to maintain SOC1, SOC2, PCI and ISO 27001 compliance.

Experience/Education/Certification

• 3+ years of experience with data center network engineering
• 5+ years of experience with data center network administration
• IP networking and internetworking implementation and operation experience
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices and process improvement guidelines
• Prior engineering and operations experience in service provider environment
• Exposure to technology vendor relationship management
• Experience with data center infrastructure and facilities management
• Advanced knowledge and experience with leading network technology products
• Post‑graduate degree with courses in computer engineering, computer science or equivalent experience is preferred
• Professional certification in data centre network operations is preferred

• Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems is preferred
• Familiarity with load‑balancing concepts and platforms is preferred
• Awareness of cloud and network virtualization concepts and operations e.g. VMWare is preferred
