Devereux has an exciting opportunity to become a Mobile Therapist with our Pocono Center. This is an Independent Contractor position. Responsibilities

  • As a Mobile Therapist you will provide services alongside other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer:

  • The Mobile Therapist (MT) is a master’s level clinician who provides face-to-face child centered, family focused, individualized and family psychotherapy and behavioral management, utilizing a strengths based approach, provided in a setting other than a therapist’s or provider’s office.
  • Area of service includes: Carbon, Lackawanna, Monroe, Pike, and Wayne counties in NEPA.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: provides expertise in behavioral management protocols; collaborates with treatment team members to design and direct a behavior modification intervention plan; identifies behavioral goals and intervention techniques; develops treatment plan and short-term goals; provides assessments of the strength and therapeutic needs of assigned children and their families; attends and participates in Inter-Agency Service Planning Team (ISPT) meetings; gathers information to determine the need for intervention and evaluate current plans; collaborates with other professionals and agencies to provide continuity of care; works with families on assessment of needs and treatment modalities; provides clinical services to child/adolescent and family; provides documentation and records; submits billing-related documentation; participates in orientation and training; maintains confidentiality; participates in Multi-Disciplinary Team interactions and is a mandated reporter; travels to site visits and meetings; provides coverage in emergency situations.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pocono Center provides programs and services for adults and children with developmental disabilities. Located in Newfoundland, PA, this position supports children in the community as part of our IBHS services.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay rate: $36/hr

Sign-On: Payment for sign-on will be made in increments: $200 at completion of training and onboarding, $200 after the first case, and $200 at 90 days after the first case, provided that the Contractor meets the requirements. For applicants prior to 12/31/2025 there is an increased sign-on bonus opportunity: $2000 total, distributed as $500 at training completion, $500 after the first case, and $1000 at 6 months after the first case.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Individuals who provide MT services shall meet one of the following:

  • Licensed in Pennsylvania as a social worker or a behavior specialist and have a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum
  • 1 year or more of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree with at least nine credits specific to psychology, social work or counseling
  • Graduate degree with at least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling and completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum
