This patient account representative primarily performs Medicare billing and collection tasks. Representative ensures claims are timely billed and promptly collected pursuant to applicable payer billing guidelines, payer fee schedules, contract rates and letters of agreement. This includes billing clients/patients on a self payment basis for the cash rate. Ensuring claims are billed electronically whenever available and to streamline the mailing of paper claims. Representative also interacts with insurance companies, payers and clients to collect claim reimbursement.
