A leading engineering firm in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Mechanical / Piping Engineer. In this role, you will coordinate between the offshore teams and client offices while reviewing and analyzing technical documents. The ideal candidate should have experience with PDMS, E3D, and must be comfortable with extensive travel across Canada. A competitive salary of $120,000 - $140,000 per year is offered.

Mechanical / Piping Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical / Piping Engineer

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Understanding of problem statements
• Develop concept based on problem statements
• Work as an Onsite Piping / Mechanical engineer and site coordinator between LTTS offshore and client office for project
• Have detailed understanding of Mechanical / Piping discipline deliverables, workflow and procedure
• Review of Piping GAs, ISOs package, Stress system, Model review, Tag closure
• Experience with PDMS, E3D, Laser Scan software
• Coordinate with project stakeholders (SPOC, LTTS offshore & client team)
• Prepare markups if required and feed LTTS offshore team for design
• Basic understanding of multiple discipline requirements (Process, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation) and provide inputs to LTTS offshore team
• Collect data from the site and client team
• Have experience in brown‑field projects execution
• Understand project scope and objectives for Pre‑FEED, FEED and Detailed Engineering Projects
• Perform field verification, gather project‑relevant technical documentation, conduct project review meetings
• Identify area and clarify scope with client SPOC
• Conduct design review sessions with virtual teams
• Analyze the impact of change in current design as per new requirements
• Organize meetings and prepare minutes of meetings
• Clarify and align any concerns with SPOC
• Provide engineering support to clients during RFI
• Collect formal acceptance and approvals on engineering and design packages from the SPOC
• Site visit with the SPOC and others as required
• Prepare scope of work (SOW) documents
• Review technical proposals with LTTS offshore and SPOC
• Extensive travel expected to many project locations across Canada
• Clarify technical queries with LTTS offshore and SPOC
• Review LTTS offshore output / deliverables
• Verify existing drawings
• Prepare project closure reports

Compensation: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
