About the job Mechanical Engineer - Pipe Stress
Responsibilities
- Perform pipe stress analysis using Caesar II, pipe supports design, calculations using WRC 107 and WRC 297
- Perform calculations using FE Pipe, Nozzle Pro
- Ensure compliance with equipment nozzle loading requirements
- Ensure compliance with approved design standards and the Client's specifications, to provide quality design
- Review piping isometrics and detailed drawings and release for fabrication
- Liaise with the engineering disciplines: Piping Design, Process, Static Equipment, Procurement and Project team
- Work independently in the analysis of piping design code compliance from basic information, which includes Plot Plans, P&IDs and LDTs, Piping Specifications, applicable Code and Line Classifications, and Equipment Data Sheets or Vendor Drawings
- Compile and maintain job files, records, and progress reports for work assigned
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in EPCM companies
- Competent user with CAESAR II technology
Education and Accreditation
- Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology, Engineering Design/Drafting Technology Diploma or equivalent required
- Preference will be given to MSc. Structural Engineering or extensive experience in Structural Engineering with emphasis on design
- Must be registered as a Professional Engineer, or eligible to register as a P.Eng with APEGA
