As part of the team, you will also be a contributor to the following activities:

  • Process flowsheet development
  • Project management
  • Intellectual property development
  • Formal engineering documentation
  • Technical report writing
You Would Be a Great Fit If You
  • Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (with eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Engineer‑in‑Training (E.I.T.) with APEGA)
  • Possess a multidisciplinary skillset, and are not afraid to dive head‑first into new challenges
  • Have 3+ years of experience contributing to the design, build, and commissioning of chemical process technologies
  • Are proficient with 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (SolidWorks) CAD software
  • Are experienced with a broad range of fabrication techniques (hand/power tools, manual/CNC machining, 3D printing, etc.)
  • Are familiar with and can contribute to the production of process design documents including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Have a working knowledge of relevant process design codes (ASME B31.3)
  • Have experience sizing and selecting equipment for critical process functions (vessels, pumps, motors, valves, etc.)
  • Are passionate about technology development, and possess a relentless problem‑solving attitude and a bias for action
  • Can take on difficult, time‑constrained goals, break them down into specific and measurable deliverables, and independently do what is necessary to achieve them
  • Seek responsibility, are creative, thrive working autonomously, and can tell a good joke
  • Have experience in a fast‑paced or startup environment (bonus)
What We Offer
