Crowe MacKay LLP is excited to grow our team and is currently searching for a Pubco Manager opportunity in Vancouver. Our firm is redefining what it means to work in the accounting industry. The Role
- Plan, scope, and direct complex public company audit and assurance engagements, as well as budgeting, internal controls, and financial and accounting transactions.
- Deliver industry and technical expertise through client interactions, written reports, technical work, and the production of high-quality deliverables.
- Manage a portfolio of clients while ensuring their needs are met and that relationships and accounts grow and develop.
- Liaise with clients for matters relating to billings and collection.
- Identify cross-service line opportunities with keen interest to develop an awareness of how to scope or scale services to the client.
- Serve as a frontline consultant to clients under direction of a Partner.
- Recognize team strengths to effectively plan, schedule, and coordinate engagements that ensure successful execution in accordance with firm methodologies, guidance, and professional standards.
- Monitor engagement timelines against goals and objectives and liaise with clients on engagement status, ensuring clarity throughout the process, managing the production of quality deliverables on time, and within scope and budget.
- Review, investigate, and correct discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries and reports.
- Be a Crowe MacKay ambassador at networking events and seek interactions that could formulate into a potential opportunity.
- People management and relationship development by facilitating positive internal and external business connections.
- Train, and mentor new team members in relation to professional and personal development.
What You Will Bring
- Possess a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation (or legacy CA).
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant work experience in public accounting.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience working with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Proficiency working with accounting and tax software such as Caseware, TaxPrep, Quickbooks, Sage 50 Accounting, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required.
- Experienced leader with strong team building and coaching skills.
- Motivated, persistent, and resourceful.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound professional judgment.
