Manager, Product Marketing - Global Asset Management

Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of Product Marketing, Scotia Global Asset Management in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will be involved in :

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Acts as a key strategic partner providing recommendations and strategies to build brand equity and awareness for assigned focused area.
  • Responsible for developing thoughtful strategic plans to achieve priorities, obtain support from stakeholders, successfully execute, measure and report on success. This includes product launches, growth areas and digital programs.
  • Partners with Scotia Digital, Digital Marketing and SGAM Content, Advertising and business partners to ensure coordination and successful execution of marketing programs
  • Supports a culture of innovation and efficiency; identifying opportunities to automate, improve or eliminate low-value initiatives and maximize ROI.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and demonstrates a commitment to Scotiabank’s values : accountability, passion, integrity and respect. Delivers results in accordance to Scotiabank behavioural competencies. Creates an inclusive team culture and an environment where team members hear, share, and appreciate diverse perspectives.
  • Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his / her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML / ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML / ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

  • 5 years of investment product marketing experience in the financial services industry;
  • Solid understanding of investment products and specifically mutual funds;
