  • Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Designation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience.
  • High proficiency in MS Office, Caseware, and TaxPrep considered an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of a fast-paced work environment and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Experience working with owner-managed businesses considered an asset.

  • Build and manage senior client relationships and identify service opportunities.
  • Plan, lead, and manage audit and review engagements.
  • Analyze and resolve assurance engagement issues.
  • Review tax filings prepared by staff for compliance.
  • Offer tax planning services to clients.
  • Deliver high-quality service and business advice.
  • Work closely with partners on compliance with accounting standards.
  • Provide coaching and development to firm staff.
  • Prepare and present technical sessions to staff.
  • Manage engagement financials including budgets and billing.
  • Mentor, train, and develop junior staff.

Your role

Your role:

  • Build and manage client relationships at a senior level and identify client service opportunities.
  • Plan, lead and manage audit and review engagements
  • Analyze, identify and resolve assurance engagement issues
  • Review the tax filings (including T1, T2, T3 and T5013 returns) prepared by staff to ensure all tax related matters have been adequately addressed.
  • Offer tax planning services to clients
  • Deliver high quality service and business advice to clients.
  • Work closely with the partners and other senior staff on business processes and compliance of accounting standards and tax laws
  • Provide support, coaching and development to firm staff at all levels.
  • Preparation and presentation of technical/internal sessions to firm staff.
  • Managing engagement financials including budgets, work in process variances and billing
  • Mentor, train and develop junior staff
What you bring to the table (Qualifications)
  • Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Designation
  • Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Caseware, and TaxPrep considered an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Understanding of a client-focused fast paced work environment and the ability to effectively pivot between tasks, prioritize and manage deliverables to meet conflicting deadlines
  • Experience working with owner managed businesses considered an asset

Salary range: $85,000 - $105,000
