Job summary

A global leader in animal nutrition is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team in St. Andrews. In this role, you will conduct inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical issues in a production environment. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in manufacturing, ideally as a millwright, and must be comfortable working in a 12-hour shift schedule. What you’ll do
  • Inspections, Preventive & Planned Maintenance: Assess and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. Fix defects and perform corrective tasks based on inspection results.
  • Flag potential issues early and suggest long-term solutions.
  • Lead complex maintenance projects and supervise third-party technicians.
  • Malfunctions & Emergency Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures, evaluate severity and determine repair urgency, perform hands‑on repairs and consult with supervisors when needed.
  • Modifications & Upgrades: Execute overhaul and modification work per instructions, recommend improvements based on your experience and technical insight.
Who we’re looking for
  • Millwright and red seal (maintenance mechanic) an asset.
  • Formal education or qualification in field of maintenance and mechanical, including a bachelor's degree or diploma, along with relevant experience in the manufacturing field or engineering industry.
  • At least 10+ years of solid background in manufacturing with experience in production and maintenance management.

You’ll also need
  • Ability to work in 12 hours shift, 4 days on 4 days off- 2 days 2 nights per week.
  • Ability to bend, twist, lift and carry- 5 to 10 kgs of weight occasionally.
  • Strong manufacturing background with experience in maintenance.
  • Attention to detail with good data analysis skills.
