A senior living organization in Canada is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide personal and nursing care to residents. The role involves administering medications, supervising care staff, and ensuring resident safety in accordance with established policies. Candidates should have graduated from a recognized LPN program and possess a current practicing license. This position offers a rotating schedule across multiple days.
Part-Time, 1500-2300 hrs.
JOB SUMMARY: In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, performs assessments, plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to residents. The LPN operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the standards of practice as outlined by the relevant provincial governing body and according to PPSL policies and procedures (for example, administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and PPSL policies and procedures). Responsibilities include the direct supervision of care staff to meet resident’s needs. The LPN ensures a commitment to resident safety and to our “culture of safety” as per PPSL Strategic Directions.
Rotation information is as indicated in the original posting (days: Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed with assigned days shown as X and shifts indicated as E7.5 where applicable).
